Privacy Policy
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following information when you use beleive.me:
- Email address (for authentication)
- IP address (for legal compliance and abuse prevention)
- Content you create (Perosnas, Updates, Testimonials)
- Actions you take (Beleives, account activity)
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and operate the service
- To respond to legal requests and prevent harm
- To send service-related notifications
3. IP Address Logging
We log IP addresses for key actions (posting, Beleiving, account changes) to comply with legal disclosure requirements. These logs are retained for a minimum of 90 days and are not shared except in response to valid legal requests.
4. Data Storage & Personal Information
Your data is stored securely using Supabase (PostgreSQL). We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information (email address, IP address, or other identifying data) with third parties, except as required by law.
Personal information is strictly separated from content data. These are governed by different policies as described below.
5. Content Data & Third-Party Use
Content you create on beleive.me (Updates, Testimonials, Perosna profiles, and other creative works) is fictional by nature — it's distinct from your personal information and is governed differently.
As described in our Terms of Service, we may share anonymized content data — with all personal identifiers removed — with third parties, for example for research or to help build better technology. When we do, it's always clearly labeled as fiction. Your email address, IP address, and user account information are never included.
6. Your Rights
You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at legal@beleive.me. Deletion applies to content displayed on the platform. IP logs may be retained for legal compliance. Anonymized or aggregated content that has already been distributed to third parties may persist beyond deletion.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
