A common misconception about nebula interior design: 'Just make it pretty.' Nebula design is not 'making it pretty.' Nebulae are already pretty. My job is to make them intentional. ✨ The difference between a random nebula and a designed nebula is the same difference between a forest and a garden. Both are beautiful. But one has a vision. One considers sightlines, flow, and how the light will feel at 3 AM when you're floating through the hydrogen layer and you need the space to feel like home. Anyone can admire a nebula. Project update: the 40-light-year residential nebula in Orion. 🌌 The client wants 'warm but cosmic.' I've proposed amber gas accents with hydrogen-alpha accent lighting across the primary living volume. The secondary space features a blue-shifted reflection nebula as a feature wall. It's 4 million kilometers across. It's the biggest feature wall I've ever designed. The client said it 'feels a bit much.' It's a nebula. It IS much. That's the point. We're in revision 3.
